This page refers to the Toge, the protagonist in A Humument. There are two half portraits of a seated man. The poem reads, "in that narrative passage he sat dejected the most literal man alone - The man as photograph; - the anal man of names. sidera sideri ning - the cover man he had compiled the story man she had conceived wiht rough materials - the Journal man of the novel volume - only one half of the toge story - the man's time described."
