Each stylized playing card depicts a photographic portrait of a lettrist artist with varied lettrist symbols and/or calligraphic styles that are printed directly on the photograph. These are associated with the visual works of the specific artists. Some markings are also directly painted onto the photographs. Isidore Isou contributes an essay written in 1968 which includes an "Introduction au Lettrisme," "La Photographie Ciselante," "La Photographie Lettriste et Hypergraphique," "La Photographie Supertemporelle," and "L'Avenir de la Photographie." The photographs mainly depict images captured by the camera from life or collage and subsequently treated with paint, ink, and/or scratched additions to the negative or the photograph itself. This book is not listed in Acquaviva's Bientot les Lettristes (1946-1977) although he was well aware of it. Indeed, in a personal communication to the Sackners, he pointed out that Isou considered all copies 'false' unless they were signed by him; the Sackner copy therefor is 'false.'
