Collage art from magazines and newspapers mostly of thin women but also Medusa (in a circle but also top left corner where Perseus has cut off her head), Hitler (in a stamp), and two comics lower left and lower right. The words "Miss America is a Virgin" have been handwritten on newspaper and pasted on top. This collage has complex meanings in reference to its title. According to Kent Taylor in a personal communication (1997) to the Sackners, this was d.a levy's third book. The individual pages comprising the book are printed with different colored inks but all pages are the same dimensions. The cover is a light gray with the title printed on three lines. This is the first printing of the book. The Sackner Archive also holds the "second printing" of the book that has major differences in conten and layout. The title is printed on a single line of the white paper cover in this version. Wikipedia: Hasan al-Sabbah حسن الصباح was an Iranian missionary and founder of Nizari Ismai'li who converted a community in the late 11th century in the heart of the Alborz Mountains of northern Persia. He later seized a mountain fortress called Alamut and used it as the headquarters for a decentralized Persian insurrection against the dominant Seljuk Turks.
