d.a.levy was the owner of the Renegade Press. None of the prints have linear, readable elements. This copy has a two duplicate prints entitled, "lakefront at night" which was a separate purchase in 1981. The erotic cover drawing was done by Al Diamondstein. This book was printed by d.a. levy. In a personal communication from Jeff Maser, 16 (including the Sackner copy) of the 45 copies have been located. [A Bridge to a New Sun is Rising...] / levy, d.a.., 1967
The cover depicts silkscreened portrait of levy and includes a handwritten inscription, "25 [cents] for levy's defense." The tipped-in silkscreen print on the page was probably made by levy. The text admonishes the people of Clevelsand for the treatment of levy. According to a letter from Alan Horvath, this is the first version of the book that was subsequently published with a different cover/title page.
