This book reviews international small press publications of alternative art with emphasis on visual/verbal imagery from 1968-1988. The bibliography includes a listing of the Sackner Archive catalogue and is divided into 1) art/poetry movements, e.g. Fluxus, Conceptual Art, Concrete and Visual Poetry, Mail Art, Artistic Rubberstamps, Xerox Art, etc. as well as 2) listing periodicals by alphabetical order and country of publication. Perneczky also lists Art Archives holding such materials. This is a mainly an ink hatched drawing that was intended for Ciaran Carson's book of poems, Opera et Cetera, Wake Forest Press, 1996, but not utilized in the printed edition. The text is from A Human Document by Mallock. Carson's book is also held by the Sackner Archive. This small fragament contains the following poem: "monsieur art sage monsieur h - dix-huit luding I heard him claim our name - ch - hc - reve omph enderi St ! - tribute to h - ink beau-payin you with his tongue wit." In this page Phillips re-introduces the heroine of A Humument, Irma, in a setting reminiscent of the metal entrance gates that Phillips designed for the park in his neighborhood of Peckham. The text reads "on the street iron railings twist into twilight - Lamps are gilding round corners - to meet somebody - 'Somebody - Yes! The print depicts ornamental colored markings surounding a black and white photographic portrait of a child in the center. The poem reads "face to face with this moment - a sudden child - Irma already - art by way of Vienna - to Vienna where the orient would reach art - came like a cloud - let me accept its reflections."
